Especially mixed soundtrack for Derian House Charity Fashion Show

Recording instruments and locations is at the heart of the GSM, so it is exciting to hear how music producers and composers integrate these within new works, especially if the music is for a specific purpose.

Recently GSM composers were asked to provide the soundtrack for a unique fashion event held in Preston Lancashire. This event showcased the skills of the Fashion department at the University of Central Lancashire and members of the GSM who study BA (Hons) Music Production at UCLan too.

This individual soundtrack has been composed using sounds recorded in Uganda, Bali, Cyprus and China. These sounds provide a wholly unique character, especially when mixed together with modern music production techniques. The results of this ensure that the models glide down the Catwalk when modelling the garments for the Derian House Charity.

Following the live event all the tracks will be available to stream or download via soundcloud through the GSM page.
