Sampling the Adriatic Sea
GSM took multiple high resolution recordings over a seventy two hour time frame using different microphone setups and rigs. These included stereo, quadrophic and 5.1 recordings that can be used in musical compositions, radio broadcasts, games, or film and television.
Visually documenting the practice of GSM helps describe how we complete our field based work in order to educate future sound recordists. By using many different video techniques, people can engage with the GSM story through a variety of media.
The environmental recordings from this location captures local dialect and tourists amongst the sound of the ‘Sea Organ’ played by the tidal movement of the Adriatic Sea.
